Seniors have been heavily impacted by COVID-19 and as we hear from experts in the media, the seniors face a higher level of threat from the COVID-19 virus.
SNM Los Angeles center members joined efforts to donate food to local food bank that provides food to seniors at senior centers. The team took extra safety precautions, maintained distance, wore glove masks and brought only packaged food to the centers. SNM LA member came from different parts of Southern California and spread out their arrival to not have a crowd any where near the center.
In our conversation with the Norwalk Senior Center representative, she was extremely thankful for the efforts and indicated this type of giving was greatly in need in current times.
