Attitude of Gratitude

Once there was a very loving couple crossing the forest. After the hardships of all day, they both got really tired. It was getting dark but still they needed to cover a long way. After some while they both decided to stop and take rest as they wanted to cover the remaining way during daylight. They both thought that in the forest there must be some wild animals, so one will sleep for two hours and the other will keep a watch. First, it was wife’s turn to sleep. Husband stayed awake to protect her. After some time, husband saw a poisonous snake coming close to the wife. He suddenly took a branch and after lot of hardships he was able to kill that snake and protect her.
When two hours were over, wife woke up and asked her husband to sleep. When he was laying down he was not able to sleep. Wife asked him what was bothering him. He said, “When you were sleeping, a poisonous snake approached you, but I made lot of efforts to kill the snake and protect you. But not even once you thanked me for that.” Wife replied, “I was not aware that happened when I was sleeping. If I would be knowing, I would have surely have thanked you.”
Similarly, we don’t even know how many problems this Nirankar (God) solves before we open our eyes in the morning. We should always and always thank this Almighty Formless for being with us all the time and making our life a celebration. And he rewards us with many gifts every day every minute every moment. The most precious gift Nirankar gives us every morning is the blessing of another wonderful day to live. If we thank this Nirankar every moment from every pore of our body, even then it is LESS”
So, let us all thank Nirankar for making every moment of our life so wonderful. And that attitude of gratitude is a hallmark of a devotee.
The most precious gift Nirankar gives us every morning is the blessing of another wonderful day to live.
