I was asking myself this question: why do we go after worldly things? Why do we desire something in the first place? To which I found the answer: it is because they bring us joy, happiness and make us excited about life if they are fulfilled. But this inner satisfaction is not long-lasting, it slowly vanishes from the heart.
In order to fill this void of happiness in our hearts, we start looking for another wish or desire that can bring motivation and excitement in our lives again. If it is fulfilled, we are delighted, else we get sad, discouraged, upset or even depressed depending upon the importance of the desire in our lives.
This cycle is ongoing throughout our lives without us realizing it.
But the true happiness lies in knowing the Truth! This Nirankar, The Formless God!
The feeling of contentment, bliss, peace, and comfort we achieve upon knowing this God and the spiritual values is everlasting, it will never go away.
Let’s not use the spiritual values to achieve these worldly things rather follow the spiritual principles and imbibe the values in our lives to connect with God. These materialistic worldly desires will follow us and will not affect our souls anymore.
