Earn Respect by Respecting

This is a very popular saying, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.”

It starts with self respect.

Respecting yourself means giving and defining your own worth and value as a human being. If you don’t respect yourself, it’ll be difficult for you to respect others. So be kind to yourself first, learn about you, know your worth, and pass on that love to everyone else you come across with.

Why is respect for others important?

Respect means that you accept somebody for who they are, even when they’re different from you or you don’t agree with them. Respect in your relationship builds feelings of trust, safety, and wellbeing. It is a very important quality to have as you progress in your life professionally and personally. Respect is also something that you learn in life. Having good manners was taught to you, just like being respectful to the elderly was taught to you.

Giving and receiving respect is often earned over a period of time, starting with the foundation of our developing youth and then growing more within you.

Respect is a very important pillar. It is what we do to each other on a day to day basis. Saying Dhan Nirankar to each other, touching each other’s feet, being polite, and behaving, these all fall under the category of respectfulness. If there were no respect, then everything would simply go into chaos.

So how do you respect others?

Listening to what another person has to say with an open mind, being thankful, show your gratitude, be honest, be sincere, offer help, these are just a few ways to express a respectful attitude. Being respectful will get you that respect back. As mentioned earlier, treat others the way you would want to be treated. You owe everyone the same level of respect for being a fellow human being, and for having Nirankar reside in them.
