Key Factor to Being Good

There is a quote from Albert Einstein, in which he says, “I speak to everyone in the same way, whether he is the garbage man or the president of the university.” Taking that in, this is exactly what we are supposed to do in and outside the mission. Who do we all have residing in our souls? Nirankar. That is why we do the act of saying “Dhan Nirankar.” Touching each others’ feet to respect them as well as Nirankar inside of everyone.

With our family, we should have respect for the ones who have raised us. The elders who went through hardships to get to where we all are here today.  We shouldn’t just dismiss all their effort and hard work. Respecting them is important because they know more than us, they know what is good for us and what isn’t. They are the ones who teach us lifelong lessons to remember and pay heed to.

Respecting your peers is quite important as well. It means that you accept who they are and the way that they are, regardless of the differences between you and them. This establishes a sense of trust, resulting in lasting relationships.

Our teachers, who are our gurus, deserve the utmost respect from us. They are the ones who have shaped us into who we are today. All our knowledge is due to their efforts in teaching us. We owe it all to them, after all.

A respectful attitude gets you far in life. Everyone deserves respect regardless of their race, age, religion, or status. Knowing who to respect, why you are giving respect, and the results of doing so give way to a fruitful way of living.
